Our newest range of cork seating and side tables, the Tonga Collection, draws inspiration from the form and cultural significance of the African headrest—celebrating both tradition and contemporary craftsmanship. The name Tonga or Tongo is derived from Tongoona (meaning “foresight” in Shona), symbolising the wisdom gained through dreaming and reflection — bringing the inspiration of the African headrest full circle. Rooted in tradition and shaped with intention, each piece speaks to identity, contemplation, and timeless design.
Within the collection, we have a Curved Tonga Chair, available in large and small sizes including light and dark cork. Then we have the Oval Tonga Side Table with Marble inlay, also available in light or dark cork, and finally we have the Round Tonga Side Table, also available in light or dark cork.
